About the BCA438/BCA512 Discrete Amplifiers

The BCA438/BCA512 are discrete amplifiers developed and rebuilt by BAKU Pro Audio using carefully selected parts based on the NEVE BA438/BA512 circuit.
The base NEVE BA512 was developed for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as an upgraded version of the BA440 amplifier used in the final stage of the 33609’s.
Searching for good quality output transistors for many years as we consider them to be a key part for the BCA438/BCA512’s pristine sound.
From testing BC461/BC441 NOS products used in the original BA512 circuit, as well as various other compatible transistors. A conclusion was made as none of them have satisfied the sound quality and specifications and the development stopped.
The other day, we came across a high-quality output transistor and the BCA438/BCA512 discrete amplifier was born.
For the time being, it will only be sold with the NEVE33115 and 33609 sold by our company due to the limited supply of parts.
